First Impression CD Launch Concert in Bowden Village Hall

On Friday 29th April, Paul and Michael officially launched their debut album First Impression with a concert in Bowden Village Hall. The capacity audience enjoyed a concert featuring all the music on the album as well as some other pieces. Two self-composed pieces, Paul’s Orcadian Sunrise and Michael’s Chessmen Suite were very warmly recieved and the performed two encores at the end of the night.

Paul & Michael are giving a concert to officially launch their new CD ‘First Impression’ in Bowden Village Hall on Friday 29th April. Come along and enjoy a night of entertainment as the duo perform their unique blend of traditional music from around the world.

Concert in the Elliot Bandstand – Wilton Park Hawick on Sunday 28th June 2015

Following on from last year’s ‘Film in the Park’, we will be playing on Sunday 28th June in the Bandstand at Wilton Park, Hawick. The concert is free and begins at 2pm. If you are in the borders this weekend, come along to hear our eclectic mix of Balkan, Tango, Russian and Scottish traditional music. (with a touch of Mozart and Brahms for good measure)

In a fortnight we also will be recording our first CD together as Chamberlain & Haywood with Matt Harvey at Maybank Studios in Glasgow.

Concert at Moffat’s Old Well Theatre – 20th March 2015

Michael and Paul will be performing on Friday 20th February at the Old Well Theatre in Moffat. Their unique blend of world music will include a selection of Hungarian Gypsy melodies, Argentine Tango, and traditional Scottish tunes. The concert starts at 7.30pm.

Concert at Merlin Music Academy – Friday 21st November

On Friday 21st November Paul Chamberlain (accordion) and Michael Haywood (sax, violin, whistle) return with a new programme to perform at Merlin. Their unique blend of world music will include a selection of Hungarian Gypsy melodies, Argentine Tango, and traditional Scottish tunes. The concert begins at 7.30pm and ticket price (Adults £8 / U-18 £50 includes a free glass of wine or soft drink at the interval
